Flow//InSide" is a concert experience based on a sense of presence, interplay and improvisation, consisting of one long-form composition of approximately 80 minutes, which flows dynamically from one musical motif to the next as the musicians interact with each other. The sound of the material is slightly meditative, atmospheric but with occasional rhythmic flourishes.

The main source of inspiration for this programme is Latvian nature, tranquillity, the sounds of water, complemented by musicians' influences from various contemporary musical styles, primarily sticking to a Latvian interpretation of elements of West African folk music (using acoustic guitar tuned to the West African folk instrument kora, polyrhythms and other rhythmic improvisational elements in a large part of the compositions, for example). Experimental sound design also plays a major role, using not only the sound of acoustic instruments, but combining them with various digital sound effects, resulting in a rich and unconventional sound. The concert experience Flow//InSide" is the culmination of several years of concert experience in an improvisation-based, meditative and relatively unconventional concert format.

The meditative, flowing nature of the music is absolutely essential in this turbulent, challenging time for both listener and musician - its emotional message will be an aid to the listener's inner world to sort itself out and regain harmony.

The cycle "Flow//InSide" is performed by Rihards Lībietis (composer, acoustic guitar), Sigvards Dižais (percussion), Ēriks Miezis (vibrophone), Toms Kursītis (double bass, voice) and Mikus Ģērmanis (guitar, voice).

The concert programme is supported by VKKF and AKKA/LAA Author Grant.
